• Working Location: Remote
• Reporting to: Head of Software Development

JOB RESPONSIBILITY for Software Development Database Architect

• Sets architectural direction, builds consensus, mediates conflicts providing technical leadership and advisory services to the business
• Involve in data acquisition process from multiple source system and data consolidation/data warehousing.
• Develops database solutions by designing proposed system; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications
• Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
• Support the application development lifecycle
• Provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems
• Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Advice Production DBA team in maintaining database systems and to ensure implementation of best practices, security control, versions, etc
• Work with the application team to ensure that proper methods are used to embed data access and modification logic into application programs and ensure that appropriate and efficient SQL is being coded and tested
• Strong communication skills with both internal team members and business stakeholders
• Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
• Lead the adoption of modern database principles and practices
• Help resolve technical problems as and when they arise
• Mentors and coaches’ team member/technical staff and providing them with constructive guidance and recommendation and resolving technical problems as they arise
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
• Assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans
• Assess opportunities for database and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE for Software Development Database Architect

• 7+ years of database development experience with large scale business applications with focus in Microsoft SQL Server environment
• Prior experience in a database architect position
• College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Hands-on coding experience is an advantage, especially for mission-critical and high-concurrency/low-latency system
• Good understanding of database industry, experience in architecting, designing and deploying data engineering infrastructure for collecting, aggregating and analyzing data
• Any kind of NoSQL/bigdata knowledge is a PLUS
• Proven architectural design and implementation of enterprise scale product
• Experience to determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems
• Experienced implementing features/functions of MSSQL 2016 and above namely HA, AOA, Transaction Replication, In memory tables, partitioning, Availability Group, Resource governor, encryption, Query execution plan, etc
• Skilled in the process of data modeling and normalization to ensure that databases are designed to promote data integrity
• Experienced in installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, backup, disaster recovery, applying optimum access techniques and database security
• Experienced maintaining database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; completing maintenance; answering user questions
• Experience in Healthcare domain will be an added advantage

 BENEFITS for Software Development Database Architect

• Salary: $1,500 – $2,500, depending on candidate’s ability
